General Fund Reserves - 7143

The district shall maintain an unreserved, undesignated fund balance equal to 3 percent to 5 percent of the district's projected annual operating expenditures. Any proposed use of these reserves below the 3 per cent will require approval by the board.

Should the board authorize use of the unreserved undesignated fund balance below the 3% reserve, the superintendent, or designee, will prepare a financial plan identifying how to return the fund balance reserves to 3% to 5%.
