FWPS 2nd Grade Report Card - Page One

Scale Card (Printable Version 77K PDF)

Federal Way Schools report cards come in two versions; scale and grade.  The Scale Report Card is used primarily with early elementary students.  Progress is measured by standards set by the state and district.  We measure this progress using a continuum: Below Expectations, Approaching Expectations, Meeting Expectations, and Exceeding Expectations.  This scale is used to grade Washington State Essential Academic Learnings (EALR).  Subskills of these EALR’s are marked with yes, no, reasonable progress, not yet, or not evaluated.

Grade Card (Printable Version 64K PDF)

Most students in grades 3-5 receive letter grades on the Grade Report Card.  The card uses traditional academic grades but unlike when we were in school the grades are not averaged.  When a student receives a C it means the student is on track to meet the district and state standard.
